In view of the new year festivities, Inspector General of Police Punjab Khan Baig issued directions to all field police officers about the security across the Punjab to be as high alert.
He directed the officers to ensure the security at major hotels, rest houses, commercial markets, important roads, cultural complexes and cinema houses. He also directed to keep strict vigilance those who involved in one wheeling, aerial firing, fireworks and misuse of loudspeakers.
Provincial Police Chief further directed the field police officers to personally visit their districts for maintaining law and order and to avoid any untoward kind of situation in their respective areas.
Field officers finalized the security deployment accordingly.
