LAHORE: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police claimed on Sunday to have arrested two main suspects involved in killing of an MNA’s nephew and his guard in Johar Town.
PML-N MNA Malik Afzal Khokhar’s nephew Imran Shafi Khokhar and his guard and another man were killed and nine others were injured when their rivals opened fire on them during a marriage ceremony in Johar Town on Jan 3.
A case under murder and terrorism charges was registered against the suspects, including Aslam alias Achha Bhatti and Aslam alias Neela.
CIA SP Nadeem Abbass said both the indentified suspects were going to Turkey through Iran when they were arrested by the law enforcement agencies in Balochistan. He said a CIA team went to Balochistan, took the suspects into custody and brought them to Lahore.
