LAHORE - Thirty-four sub inspectors were promoted to the next rank after the approval by departmental promotion committee, a spokesman said Wednesday. On the orders of IGP Arif Nawaz Khan, the meeting of the promotions committee was held at the central police office. Additional-IG Azhar Hameed Khokhar headed the committee while DIG Syed Khurrum Ali, Salman Chaudhry, BA Nasir, and AIG Shehzad Akbar and Abdul Rub Ch were among the members of departmental promotion board. The committee approved the promotion of 34 sub inspectors to the rank of Inspector. Among the newly promoted officers, six are of Lahore police region, eight from Gujranwala, nine from Faisalabad, five from Multan, two from Sahiwal, and one each from DGK, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, and police regions.
