All stake holders of the society including respective departments should join hands with the Police Department across Punjab to eliminate the terrorism and other challenges being faced today.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Khan Baig, while, talking at a graceful farewell ceremony arranged at CPO today in honor of newly inducted IGP, KPK, Nasir Khan Durani. Khan Baig said that in a specific background of country and KPK province, the decision of appointment of a professional and determined officer like Nasir Khan Durani by the government is really appreciable. He hoped that as per his previous tremendous service background, Nasir Khan Durani will be successful by adopting a professional strategy to counter terrorism in KPK.
Baig also appreciated his services which he delivered for CTD Punjab.
On this occasion, IGP, KPK, Nasir Khan Durani said that in the light of experience which he gained from Punjab Police, he will leave no stone unturned to eliminate the crime as well as the terrorism from the province. Durani said that to fight with terrorism is not the responsibility of one department, it was basically the collective effort of all concerned departments, added IGP KPK. He further said that to face the terrorism, protection of the people and their properties and provision of justice at thana level will be his top priorities.
Nasir Khan Durani was born in 1957 in Lahore. 10th Common police officer joined the police service in 1982 as ASP. He is graduate in Chartered Accountancy. He served in seven districts of Punjab as SP. In Rawalpindi, he served as CPO and RPO respectively. During his service he also remained posted in different training colleges of Punjab Police. In 2011, after promotion he was posted as Addl: IGP, Special Branch, Punjab. Later, he was appointed as Addl: IGP, CTD till his posting as IGP KPK.
IGP, Punjab, Khan Baig presented a Souvenir to Nasir Khan Durani at the closing of the ceremony.
