Inspector General Police Punjab Captain ® Arif Nawaz khan has said that every possible step should be taken to arrest terrorists, proclaimed offenders and anti social elements specially criminals involved in high profile cases who left the country to save themselves from the hands of law. He also said that red warrants should also be taken for the arrest of these criminals so that they could be brought back. He also said that to save life and properties of the citizens is foremost duty of police and we should try our best for this purpose. He also said that the standard of investigations should be improved so that criminals could be brought to book through courts at any cost. IGP appreciated the efforts of RPO Faisalabad division Bilal Siddique Kamyana and ten District Police officers including DPO Mianwali Sadiq ali Dogar, DPO Vehari Omar Saeed Malik , DPO Jhang Cap ® Liaqat, DPO Hafizabad Sardar Ghayas Gull, DPO sarghoda Sohail Choudhry , DPO chiniot Cap ® Mustansar Feroze, DPO Khanewal Zahid Marwat, DPO Layyah Cap ® Muhammad Ali Zia, DPO Mandi Bahaudin Faial Mukhtar, DPO Lodhran and DPO Toba Tek singh for showing excellent performance in crime control and arrest of criminals in their respective regions and districts .He also said that other RPOs and DPOs should also work hard so that they could come up to the public expectations by dint of hard of hard work and devotion to duty. Captain ® Arif Nawaz has said that police torture and death in custody should not be tolerated and officials involved any such incident should be dealt with severe hands. He said that display of arms should not be allowed at any cost and strict action should be taken against the violators irrespective of their status. IGP said that strict actions also be taken against the drug peddlers, gamblers and prostitution dens. He directed the officers that search, sweep and combing operations carried out in the search of most wanted criminals should be carried out under the supervision of DPO or minimum circle officer level and it should be make sure that the citizens should face minimum difficulties during these operations. IGP said that the IT projects in particular front desk started in the province are not only providing facilities to the citizens but also improving the police performance. IGP directed all RPOs and DPOs that they should complete the ACRs of their subordinates by first of November otherwise letters of displeasure will be serve to those officers who fail to comply the directions.
