Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain ® Arif Nawaz Khan has said that police officers and officials involved in abuse of power, disgracing the police uniform and delaying in the dispensation of justice deserve no mercy.
While addressing video link RPOs and DPOs conference at Central Police Office today, he said that strict action should be taken against such officers and officials who brought shame on the department. Addl: IGP Operations Punjab, Mohsin Hassan Butt, Addl: IGP Discipline & Inspection Punjab, Ejaz Hussain Shah, DIG Operations Punjab, Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, RPO Sargodha, Zulfiqar Hameed, DIG D&I, Shehzada Sultan, DIG SPU, Muhammad Faisal Rana, AIG Operations, Waqar Abbasi, AIG Logistics, Rai Babar Saeed and other senior officers attended the conference.
He directed the DPOs to personally make security plan of big and sensitive Eid-ul-Azha congregations in their respective districts and brief the officials down the line for apprising them of nature of their duty and possible threats so that the security arrangements could be implemented in letter and spirit.
He directed to deploy snipers, commandos and jawans in civvies at Eid congregations. He said that officers and officials should be polite and courteous with the people visiting to police stations and offices for solutions to their problems.
He said that any sort of negligence in discharging security duties would not be tolerated and the concerned officer would be held responsible in this regard.
