Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain ® Arif Nawaz Khan has taken notice of self-immolation by a man over police behavior in Athara Hazari Jhang and suspended three officers including SDPO Sadar Jhang for negligence and dereliction of duty.
He directed the SDPO Sadar Jhang DSP Mohammad Tahir to report to the Central Police Office Punjab, Lahore, and the two other suspended officers- SHO Athara Hazari inspector Ghulam Abbas and investigating officer SI Nawaz- to report to the Police Line.
