IG says amount spent on stationery will be saved through new system

Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain ® Arif Nawz Khan has said that use of modern technology is need of the hour that should be adopted for successful policing.
While addressing the launching ceremony of E-filing System held at DIG Operations Office on Friday, he said that the Lahore police had played a leading role by using the modern technology and all of its credit went to CCPO Lahore and his team.
He said that the Lahore police was a trendsetter in connection with the use of computer technology and launching of E-filing system as a pilot project at DIG Operations Office today was appreciable and an important step to facilitate the heavy burden of case files and accommodate the citizens.
He said that a huge amount of money being spent annually under the head of stationery would be saved through E-filing system and now citizens would not have to carry files and papers.
CCPO Lahore, Capt (R) Muhammad Amin Wains, Chairman PITB, Dr. Umar Saif, DIG Operations Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf, DIG Investigation Lahore, Sultan Ahmad Ch and all divisional SPs were also present on the occasion.
