Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain ® Arif Nawaz Khan has said that a computer application- Police Legal Affairs Monitoring App- has been introduced to ensure preparation of legal officers and their monitoring before the court hearing of the cases pertaining to the offices of Central Police Office, RPOs and DPOs.
While addressing a meeting held at Central Police Office on Tuesday in connection with the legal wing, he said that the legal officers would not only feed court’s directions/ remarks and dates of next hearing into the said computer application after attending the court but also inform the concerned officers about their cases without any delay.
IG directed to update and computerize the record of all courts’ cases pertaining to the offices of Central Police Office, RPOs and DPOs through the aforesaid application.
He further directed the IG Legal to hold short courses for capacity building of legal officers. “This application will also help in ascertaining the performance of legal officers,” he added.
DIG IT, Humayun Bashir Tarar, SSP Investigation, Abdul Rab Ch, AIG Legal, Rana Ilyas, PITB representatives and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
