Video-link RPO & DPO Conference at CPO

Inspector General Police Punjab Captain ® Arif Nawaz Khan has said that search , sweep and combing operations should be carried on daily basis throughout the province so that terrorists and anti social elements could be brought to book and it should be ensured that DPO or minimum circle officers should himself monitor these operations. He also said that intelligence based operations (IBOs) should be carried out with the help of other sister agencies and it should also be ensured that during raids SOPs regarding Hardened criminals should be followed. He also directed that special teams comprises on commandoes be constituted for the arrest of proclaimed offenders of A category and it is be ensured that these teams should collect complete information about these criminals before raided their dens because in case of resistance police team has not to face any major lose. 

He expressed these views while addressing video-link RPO and DPOs conference here at central police office today. Additional IG Operations Mohsin Hasan Butt, Additioanl IG CTD Muhammad Tahir Rai, DIG Operations Punjab Amir Zulfiqar Khan , MD Safe City Project Ali Amir Malik, DIG Traffic Farooq Mazhar, RPO Sheikhupura Shahzad Sultan , DIG VVIP Security Special Branch Muhammad Idrees, AIG Operations Waqar Abassi and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.  

During the conference IG emphasized on the need to speed up operations against terrorists and anti social elements and it should be carried out like a campaign. In the conference security arrangements regarding the arrival rally of Ex Prime minister Nawaz Sharif from Islamabad to Lahore were also discussed. IG Punjab has directed DIG Traffic Punjab to ensure alternate traffic arrangements so that citizens will face minimum problems in their routine life. He also directed that it should also be ensured that public should be make aware regarding the alternate routes through media timely. He directed that RPOs and DPOs not only prepare security and traffic Plan himself but all districts should have close liaison with each other regarding these arrangements. IGP also directed that it should be ensured that police personnel performing the security duty of rally be provided food and water in time.
