LAHORE: At least 34 suspects have been rounded up in search operations in different areas of Lahore before the arrival of disqualified ex-premier Nawaz Sharif. On a tip-off, the police conducted search operations in Nawan Kot, Lower Mall, Ravi Road, Sanda Lorri Adda, Ghalib Market Naseerabad and Kot Lakhpat areas on Wednesday. Police conducted checking of hotels, bus stands, hostels and flats in these localities while biometric device was used to check the identification of the residents. At least 34 persons were taken into custody who failed to produce any identity document. The detainees have been shifted to undisclosed location for further investigation.
