Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz Khan has said that citizens should be treated respectfully in police stations and professional behavior must be demonstrated while dealing applicants so be could come up with the expectations of public. These practices will win good name for the force and soft image of the department will also be promoted. This was stated by the IGP at his maiden visit to Gujranwala region after assuming the charge of his office.
Besides RPO Gujranwala, Muhammad Tahir and CPO Ashfaq Khan all DPOs, SDPOs, SHOs and a number of other officials were also there to attend IGP’s address.
“Observance of law and order in our line is the foremost demand of our profession” added the IGP. He further said that welfare of Punjab Police and up-gradation of IT projects in the department is among his top priorities.
IGP Arif Nawaz has said that Police Hospital at every Regional Headquarters will be established like Lahore, where Hospital of the pattern of CMH is near to completion. Where Police personnel will get all medical facilities.
Earlier, RPO Gujranwala Muhammad Tahir presented welcome address and detailed performance report of the regional. During his visit, the IGP laid flowers on the martyrs’ monument in the police line and offered Fateha. At the end of his visit to front desk in Police Station Kamonki, he appreciated the staff for performing their duty with true spirit.
