Rajanpur operation enters final round: IGP

Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain ® Mohammad Usman Khattak has vowed to leave no stone unturned in purging the Kucha area of criminal elements and proclaimed offenders and taking the hired assassins and robbers to task.

While holding a high level meeting at Central Police Office on Saturday, IG further pledged to establish the government writ in Kucha area at any cost.  He said that Kucha Operation in collaboration with Rangers had entered into final round and they would utilize all resources to eliminate the robbers and proclaimed offenders.

He said that sacrifices of martyred officers and officials would not go to waste as these sacrifices had boosted the morale of the police force.

He directed the officers to accelerate the pace of ongoing operation in Kucha area and there should be no hurdle in providing additional resources to the police force to make the operation a success.   

It is pertinent to mention that the IG along with Member Cabinet Sub-Committee for Peace and Provincial Minister for Anti-Terrorism had visited Rajanpur to keep himself apprised of the latest progress in Kucha Operation and boost morale of the jawans engaged in the operation. He also took aerial view of the criminals’ hideouts and police operation in Kucha area. Additional IG Operations Mohsin Hassan Butt, Additional IG Special Branch Faisal Shahkar, Commandant Elite Force Punjab Col Saad Salim, local representatives of Pakistan Rangers, RPO Dera Ghazi Khan, DPO Rajanpur and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.

IG Usman Khattak also inquired after the jawans wounded in the Kucha Operation and said that brave and dutiful police officers and officials were the pride of the Punjab Police Department and beacon of light for the police force. Such officers and officials would be encouraged in all possible ways, he added.
