LAHORE: Participants of the 106th National Management Course called on acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Khatak at Central Police Office here on Wednesday.
DIG Operations Punjab Amir Zulfiqar Khan briefed the course participants regarding the law and order situation in the province, terrorism and extremism, and the strategies and steps being adopted by the Punjab police to counter these challenges.
He further informed them about operations against terrorists, inter-provincial check-posts, special protection unit, riverine force and anti-riot force besides throwing light on new dimensions emerging through the effective use of information technology. The course participants also visited IGP Compliant Centre 8787, Monitoring and Control room, Media Cell and other projects.
