Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that discipline and welfare are two most important elements to keep any force working with dedication and to further improve its performance. The purpose of maintaining discipline is to bring the amelioration in an institute and regulate it according to the principles of law while welfare steps boost up morale of the force. He further said that at last we all shall not only get retired from our services but also from this world. This is imperative that we accomplish something extraordinary that may keep us alive in hearts of people for long.
IGP stated this while awarding prizes to best performing police officials and officers regarding implementation of Information Technology projects and against anti-social and criminal persons in a ceremony held at Central Police Office on last day of his tenure as IGP.
IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera awarded shields on best performance to DIG Operations Punjab, Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, RPO Sargodha, Zulfiqar Hameed, SSP Admin Lahore, Rana Ayyaz Saleem, DIG Operations Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf, AIG Finance, Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Training, Kashif Mushtaq Kanju, DPO Khushab, Waqas Hassan, DPO Rahim Yar Khan, Zeeshan Asghar, DPO Chiniot, Mustansir Feroz, DPO Lodhran, Asad Sarfraz Khan, DPO Mandi Bahauddin, Umar Farooq Salamat, DPO Attock, Zahid Nawaz Marwat, DPO Chakwal, Haroon Joiya, Ex. SP CRO Lahore, Umar Riaz and DPO Bahawalnagar, Liaqat Ali Malik. 68 other officers and officials were also awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes for valiantly fighting against anti-social and criminal elements.
IGP said that my message for you on my retirement day is that your top priority should be public service and you should always honor the police uniform. You can succeed in both of the worlds while working in police department because the core responsibility of this department is to stop the evil by force, and Allah Almighty has promised big reward for such a group.
