He issued these orders during the open kutchery held at CPO here today. The IG listened to the complaints of over one hundred citizens against police department, sympathetically and issued necessary orders for the redressal of their grievances on the spot. In this connection, he also summoned the senior officers of Lahore Police in the open court.
A citizen from Lahore , Manzoor Ahmad alleged in his application that SHO Johar Town Nazir Opel had insulted and misbehaved with him. The IG summoned SP Sadar, DSP Town ship and SHO Johar Town in the open court and ordered SP sadar to enquire into the matter immediately. The enquiry officer in his report held the aforesaid SHO guilty, on which the IG suspended the SHO on the spot.
A citizen Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob stated in his application that Police of P.S Shadman has registered three fake cases against him within a day, in connivance with his opponents. The IG summoned CCPO, Lahore, SP Model Town, ASP Icchra, SHO Shadman and Investigation Officer in the open court and directed CCPO Lahore to enquire into the matter himself and submit him report immediately.
Likewise, a citizen from Faisalabad Muhammad Aslam Mushtaq alleged that ASI Muhammad Nawaz of PS People Colony took bribe for recruitment of my son in the Police Department but neither he got my son recruited nor was returning my money. The IG directed the RPO Faisalabad to probe the matter himself and to take strict disciplinary action against him on proving charges.
A citizen Irshad Malik from Lahore stated in his application that he had already submitted an application against ASI Ashiq Hussain of PS Factory Area to CCPO Lahore. The SP discipline is probing the matter but the said official got himself absent and was threatening the applicant of dire consequences. The IG summoned the SP discipline and ordered him to complete the enquiry on urgent basis and take strict disciplinary action against him if the charges are proved.
