Punjab Police is taking stringent action against murderers, dacoits, robbers and other criminals during province-wide operations launched on directions of the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera. Mianwali police arrested murderers of an accused of murder case in an encounter in only a few hours, who was killed in vicinity of court while coming for hearing.
According to details, Sajid Khan, Abid Khan and Samiullah had murdered Ishafaq in an old conflict in Shehbaz Khel, a suburb of Mianwali district. The hearing of this case was ongoing in session court, decision of which was expected to be announced today. Abid Khan, along with his fellows, was going to the court when he was attacked by the opponent party in Jahaz Chowk. Abid Khan got seriously injured in firing and was shifted to the hospital, but could not recover from the wounds and was declared dead. The perpetrators were escaping the scene when police tried to stop them but they started firing on police and took shelter in PTCL building and continued firing on police. Both the perpetrators were injured in counter firing from police and were arrested.
Arrested offenders Arslan and Sajjad are hired-assassinators and have murdered many persons after taking “Supari” from their opponents. Arslan belongs to Sargodha district while Sajjad is from district Chakwal. Police has also recovered arms and motorcycle used in the incident. District Police Officer, Sadiq Ali Dogar has announced appreciation certificates and cash prize for SHO city police station Shahid Nisar and his team for taking prompt action to arrest hit-men after police encounter.
