Inspector General Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that Discipline and Inspection wing should regularly inspect offices of Regional and District Police Officers and police stations in all districts of the province. Particularly, detailed inspection of accounts and stationary branches should be ensured and through proactive vigilance, it should be made sure that any accountant must not serve on same seat for more than designated time. IGP asked to send quarterly reports regarding performance of circle officers and show-cause notices should be issued to those who failed to perform.
IGP further said, a check list should be developed regarding inspection of Regional and District Police Officers, Circle Offices, Police Stations and Police lines. Discipline and Inspection teams designated to conduct inspection of these offices should maintain their reports in accordance with check list.
Mushtaq Shukhera further directed to ensure monthly inspection of sensitive installments and project sites in Punjab. It should be checked during inspection that whether DSPs and Security Incharges regularly inspect check posts and ensure checking of weapons and bullet proof jackets of officials deployed on security duty and reports in this regard should be sent to Personal Staff Officer to IGP on regular basis.
Inspector General Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera stated this while chairing a high-level combined meeting of Welfare and Finance, Discipline and Inspection and Establishment wings held at Central Police Office on Thursday.
Additional IGP Welfare and Finance, Sohail Khan, Addl: IGP Discipline and Inspection Punjab, Ali Zulnorain, DIG Establishemnt-II, Salman Chaudhary, DIG Discipline and Inspection Punjab, Shehzada Sultan, DIG Welfare Punjab, Waseem Sial, AIG Finance, Hussain Habib Imtiaz, AIG Complaints, Syed Khurram Ali, AIG Logistics, Humayun Bashir Tarar, AIG Admin and Security, Zubair Dareshak and other senior Police officers also attended the meeting.
IGP directed DIG Establishment to annually conduct skill test of officials recruited on technical basis and take departmental action against those officials not qualified according to recruitment criteria. He also directed to encourage the officials working with sincerity at dedication, at every level.
While directing SSP Motor and Transport wing regarding project of establishing motor workshops on regional level, IGP asked to brief about the usefulness of workshops on regional level and whether these workshops will yield expected results or not.
IGP also directed to spare no effort to improve quality standards of Central Police Office Canteen and to provide hygienic food facility to police officials on economical rates.
