Dedicated, brave and courageous police personnel who are discharging their duties at the risk of their lives for the protection of citizens and elimination of crime from the province, are the pride of police department and they will always be encouraged. The welfare of these dutiful officers / officials is always our top priority and this is the reason that the recommendations to fix 10% quota for those who missed the A and B list due to their overage, besides, the raise in their salaries have been send to the government for approval. Each responsible, dutiful and professional police officer / official is equally respectable for me and to facilitate of these officials is my responsibility.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera while addressing the achievers of 3 districts at cash reward and certificate distribution ceremony held in honor of them at Central Police Office, Lahore, today. Addl: IGP Establishment Punjab, Dr. Arif Mushtaq, DIG Headquarters Punjab, B.A Nasir and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
While briefing about the ceremony, AIG Discipline, Shakir Hussain Dawarr told that 7,86,00,000 cash award has already been distributed among the courageous police officers under the vision of the Provincial Police Chief. Similarly, in today’s ceremony 3060000 cash award along with appreciation certificates was distributed among 71 officers / officials of 3 districts including Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran and Mianwali.
According to details, the highest achievers of today’s ceremony were 62 officers and personnel of Rahim Yar Khan on discharging their duties diligently by smashing 7 most wanted criminals of “Indar-Gang” a sub-part of Chotu Gang known as Khan Muhammad alias Khanu, Meer alias Mithhu, Laal Bakhsh alias Laalu, Muhammad Saleem alias Sallu, Sagheer Ahmad and an unidentified robber. Rahim Yar Khan police also captured 77 counterparts of these hardened criminals who were most wanted by the police involved in 82 heinous criminal cases including murder, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom etc.
Similarly, 04 police officers / officials of district Lodhran were rewarded on their successful operation against kidnapers in premises of Jalla Arain Police station by safely evacuation of an abductee from kidnappers who kidnapped Muhammad Shoukat s/o renowned businessman of the area. Due to the timely action of the police after lodging the FIR, police traced out the abductees through call data and raided at the hideout of the kidnapper under a designed strategy in this regard. During the police raid at the kidnapper’s place who were reported to be the friends of abductee, Muhammad Shoukat namely Akber and Liaquat started firing on the police party resultantly police also fired in their self defense and both of the kidnappers were killed.
In Mianwali district 5 police officers / officials including 04 Inspectors and a constable were also given cash reward and certificates for arresting a hardened P.O, Shahid Ilyas, alias Shadi Munna who was most wanted by the police in 16 heinous criminal cases. The Mianwali police team asked Shahid Ilyas to surrender but he refused to do so and started firing on the police party. During the cross fire the record holder P.O was smashed. One Kalashnikov with 02 magazines of bullets, mobiles and sims were also recovered from the P.O.
