To review the security arrangements of the schools...

In order to review the security arrangements of the schools and implementation of the evolved strategy in this regard after re-opening of the schools after summer vacations an important video linked RPO Conference was held at Central Police Office, Lahore today, under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera.

All RPOs and DPOs attended the conference through video link whereas, Addl: IGP Operations / Investigation Punjab, Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz, DIG Operations Punjab, Amir Zulfiqar and other senior police officers of CPO were also present on this occasion.

It was decided that all RPOs and DPOs will ensure that the SDPOs and SHOs will not only remained in close liaison with the school administration and teachers but will also visit these schools particularly, during their on and off timings, on daily basis. All officers were directed to ensure that the security SOP designed for the schools must be implemented so that the confidence and trust of the children and the parents could be restored.

The conference also decided that the patrolling and monitoring including snap checking will be the regular feature of the police and specially the QRF will remain in their beats around the schools.

Mushtaq Sukhera directed the police officers to remain in constant liaison with parents, teachers and all stake holders of the society so that the environment of scarcity could be eliminated and children can attend their schools without any sense of fear.
