A news published in a section of press claimed that the posting orders of DSP Raja Basharat Mehmood as Addl: SP CIA, Lahore have been issued after giving him shoulder promotion as SP by Inspector General of Police Punjab just after the decision of the honorable Supreme Court regarding shoulder promotion in police department.
All these news are malicious, fabricated and orchestrated. According to the facts his posting orders were issued on 1st August, 2016 in which it was clearly mentioned that “Raja Basharat Mehmood, DSP (BPS-17), awaiting posting, is hereby transferred and posted as Addl: Superintendent of Police CIA, Lahore, in his own pay and scale, against an existing vacancy, with immediate effect and till further orders”.
