A Six Member delegation of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan today met with Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera at Central Police Office Lahore, today.
The Bar members were included President Syed Ali Zafar Shah, Vice President Tabinda Islam, Executive member Muhammad Sohail Bhatti, Badar Munir, Abid Saqi and Azam Nazir Tarar Whereas, Addl: IGP Operations / Investigation Punjab, Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz, AIG Operations Punjab, Shahzada Sultan, AIG Finance, Hussain Habib Imtiaz, AIG Complaints, Syed Khurram Ali, AIG Monitoring, Waqas Hassan, AIG Legal, Ahsan Younas, and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
Issues relating to the conviction, improvement of investigation process and mutual cooperation between the both departments was discussed in the meeting.
The Supreme Court Bar Members offered the IGP that all recommendations from his end will be welcomed relating to the recommendations for evolving new laws for the protection the children.
Mushtaq Sukhera appreciated the suggestions of the Supreme Court Bar members and ensured them that a high level meeting will be called very shortly in this regard of such recommendations.
During the meeting Addl: IGP Capt® Arif Nawaz briefed the Bar members regarding the registered cases, arrest of accused and the study analysis in connection with the missing children issue.
