In order to review the establishment of Dolphin force in four big cities under the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab a high level meeting held at Central Police Office Lahore today.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera presided over the meeting. Addl: IGP Training, Capt. ® Usman Khatak , Addl: IGP Welfare and Finance, Suhail Khan, Addl: IGP Operations, Capt, ® Arif Nawaz, Addl: IGP Establishment Punjab, Dr. Arif Mushtaq, DIG Headquarters, B.A Nasir, DIG Establishment-I, Azhar Hamid Khokhar, DIG Establishment-II, Sulman Chaudry, DIG Welfare, Jan Muhammad, DIG R&D, Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir, AIG Operations, Ahsan Younis, AIG Development, Kamran Khan, AIG Complaints, Syed Khuram Ali Shah, AIG Logictics, Hamayun Bashir Tarar, AIG Monitoring, Waqas-ul-Hassan and AIG Legal, Kamaran Adil also attended the meeting.
DIG Operations Lahore Dr. Haider Ashraf and SP Dolphin force Qarar Hussain briefed the IGP regarding the Dolphin force and strategy in this regard. This force will initially be started in four cities including Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
The meeting also decided that the decision of the Supreme Court will be implemented in its true letter and spirit regarding out of turn promotion cases. Recruitment of new accountants and the promotion strategy of working accountants in Punjab Police was also examined in the meeting.
The development regarding the establishment of front desks in 202 police stations of 13 districts of Punjab was discussed in the meeting. Moreover, the feedback of newly launched 8787 SMS Service was also reviewed. AIG Complaints, Syed Khuram Ali Shah briefed the IGP that since its inception 32087 complaints through phone calls, 6673 SMS and 171 online complaints have been received so far. He also explained that currently only 1289 complaints are under process and will be redressed at the earliest.
