In wake of recent violence incidents against women in different cities of the province, a strict policy to dealt with the involved criminals has been finalized by the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera during a meeting held at Central Police Office, Lahore, today.

(R) Arif Nawaz, Addl: IGP Establishment Punjab, Dr. Arif Mushtaq, Addl: IGP Legal, Ali Zulnorain, CCPO Lahore, Capt (R) Amin Wainse, DIG Headquarters, B.A Nasir, DIG Establishment-I, Azhar Hameed Khokhar, DIG Establishment-II, Salman Chaudhry, DIG I.T, Shahid Hanif, DIG Operations, Amir Zulfiqar, DIG Traffic Farooq Mazhar, DIG R&D, Ahmad Ishaq Jehangir, DIG Operations Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf and other senior police officers of CPO were also attended the meeting.
It was decided in the meeting that strict action will be taken against those criminals who founded to be guilty in violence and torcher against women. Measure including lodging of immediate FIR and arrest of accused, besides, speedy completion of investigation process will be implemented as per the SOP issued today in this regard. IGP directed the field officers to personally look into these cases as the security and protection of the women community is our prime responsibility.
The meeting also reviewed the violence cases against women particularly in Muzaffargarh, Multan and Lahore districts. CCPO Lahore, Capt. (R) Amin Wainse briefed the IGP regarding such cases occurred in Lahore during this week.
The meeting also decided to end all regional SP Traffic Police posts across the province. IGP also decided to handover the administrative and operational control of the traffic police to DPOs.
IGP expressed his satisfaction over the completion of Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) in all offices of Punjab police. On this occasion he was told that all transfer / posting orders are being issued through this system.
The meeting also reviewed the digital monitoring of recently established Front Desk System in 202 Police Stations of 13 districts. IGP was also told that all these Desks are fully operational.
The Shaheed welfare funds, their quota, educational funds, provision of jobs to Shaheed’s children and other scholarships were also discussed in detail and it was decided to raise in these benefits, particularly, for those who embraced Shahadat during such terrorist activity.
