On the directions of the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, holding of police darbars, open courts and meetings with the parliamentarians and other elected members by the DPOs are being continued in all districts of the province.
The District Police Officers have expedite the public interaction campaign and only during last two days all DPOs have conducted police darbars in all 36 districts which were included Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Shahib, Kasur, Gujranawala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad, M.B Din, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Faisalabad, T.T.Singh, Jhang, Chiniot, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, Lodhran, Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, R.Y. Khan, D.G. Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layya and Rajanpur.
During these dabars, the police force appraised the DPOs about their issues relating to their leaves, transfers, welfare funds and other personal issues. The DPOs issued the orders on the spot for the immediate redressal of their problems.
On the instructions of IGP, the holding of police darbars will remain regular feature of the department from now on with the spirit to boost up the morale of the force and the improvement of their performance by providing them mental relief.
In open courts arranged by the DPOs thousands of people appeared in along with their complaints pertaining to the non registration of cases, early arrest of the nominated accused and to vacate their personal properties from the land grabbers. The field officers issued orders on the spot for the redressal of grievances of the complainants, besides, issued orders to take stern disciplinary action against those officials who involved in negligence, misconduct and using delay tactics to stop the timely justice.
The DPOs also maintaining continue liaison with the elected public representatives including MNAs, MPAs, Chairman district councils, Counselors and the members of public committees. During these meetings they were discussing not only the crime situation of their respective areas but also they sorted out the solution to resolve these issues with the mutual cooperation.
