In order to evaluate and to assess the performance of the 484 police officials deployed at 26 entry and exit points of motorway, besides, examine the administrative affairs of these points, a high level meeting was held today at Central Police Office, Lahore under the chairmanship of the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera.

(R) Usman Khattak, Addl: IGP Operations / Investigation, Capt (R) Arif Nawaz, Addl: IGP Establishment Punjab, Dr. Arif Mushtaq, Addl: IGP PHP, Amjad Javaid Saleemi, DIG Establishment-I, Azhar Hamid Khokhar, DIG Headquarters, B.A Nasir, DIG I.T, Shahid Hanif, DIG SPU, Agha Yousaf, AIG Development, Kamran Khan, AIG Legal Kamran Adil, AIG Monitoring, Waqas-ul-Hassan and other senior officers of CPO were also present in the meeting.
Among these 26 points are included, Attock 3, Rawalpindi 3, Jhelum 1, Chakwal 2, Sargodha 4, Hafizabad 2, Sheikhupura 6, Faisalabad 3, and Lahore has 2 police points. While briefing in detail regarding the equipment which has been provided for these points, Addl: IGP PHP, Amjad Javaid Saleemi told that 77 CCTV camera, 25 computers with DVR, 20 android phones, 58 search lights, 27 wireless sets, 25 UPS, explosive detectors, 127 bullet proof jackets, 43 reflected jackets along with the required arms and weapons has been provided.
IGP was also told that all 484 police officials who were deployed at these points were included 2 inspectors, 7 Sub-Inspectors, 36 ASIs, 71 Head constables and 368 constables. He also told that the monitoring of the officials and the equipment was being carried out on daily basis by the PHP whereas, their administrative matters are being looked after by the respective DPOs.
Mushtaq Sukhera directed the officers to ensure the welfare of all the deployed force as they are delivering their duties at the risk of their lives with the spirit to secure the traveling of the citizens. He was also briefed that only during last one month these officials searched 14075 vehicles which included 6853 incoming and 7222 outgoing vehicles, concluded the Addl: IGP PHP.
