A European Union Delegation today called on the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Javed Iqbal at Central Police Office, Lahore. Three member delegation comprising of. Andre Heinrichs (Head of Programme / CCBLE), Richard Tall (Advisor / CCBLE) and Tauqir Ahmed (Assistant Programme Coordinator/CCBLE).
During the meeting, the prospects of mutual cooperation between Punjab Police and European Union in the field of curbing terrorism were discussed.
Later, an agreement was also signed to enhance the professional capabilities of the Punjab police. According to the agreement 75 police men will get anti-terrorism training at Police Training School, Chung, Lahore. The training course will have 5 different components regarding anti-terrorism.
Addl. IG Police Training Sarmad Saeed Khan and DIG Police Training Arif Nawaz Khan were also present on the occasion. .
