Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Javed Iqbal has held DSP Muhammad Jameel Baig, SDPO Gujjar Khan guilty of charges of violating the provisions of Police Order 2002 and misuse of his official power for some ulterior motives.
Enquiry Officer Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Abbas, the then CTO Rawalpindi had concluded in his enquiry report that DSP Muhammad Jameel Baig, took up a case of investigation in his hand without change of investigation and conducted proceedings in said investigations against prescribed rules/ procedures with malice intent.
After giving full opportunity to DSP Muhammad Jameel Baig, to defend charges leveled against him and agreeing with the findings of the Enquiry Officer, the Inspector General of Police, Punjab, ordered the major punishment of compulsory retirement from service with immediate effect.
