The performance of the police officers of the entire districts of the province is being monitored and evaluated in Central Police Office on daily basis and honest, dedicated, professional and dutiful police officers will be encouraged and rewarded whereas, the black sheep involved in corruption and negligence will be dealt with and as a massage there is no room for any such police officers in the department.

This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman while presiding over two different high level law and order meetings in district Chakwal and district Jhelum respectively. DPOs, DSPs and all senior officers of these concerned districts attended these meetings. IGP also interacted with the media persons in Chakwal.

Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman said that it is his prior duty to eradicate the crime and to render a peaceful environment to public so that they may be able to move in society without fears. He further said that his other anteriorities includes undermining the social evils, bringing all proclaimed offenders to justice and building a strong coordination between the public and police.

Provincial Police Chief labored upon the point that he has strictly directed all the police officials to remain active for immediate compensation of the public complaints and for that matter dereliction and slackness will not be tolerated at any cost. He further said that directions have also been issued to maintain belly up to 38 inches by police officers and officials along with their overall physical fitness. He further said that an accountability division comprising of 35 hundred dead honest police officers has been established at CPO, Lahore where performance of all police officers and officials is being evaluated.

Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman further stated that he is visiting the province to have a crystal clear picture of law and order and to remove all types of bottlenecks that are creating inhibitions in redressing the public problems.

IGP distributed appreciation certificates and cash awards upto Rs.20 thousands among 15 officers who yielded extra ordinary performance during their duties in district Chakwal. He also ordered promotion of Sub-Inspector Raja Javaid Anwer to Inspector and give him acting charge of DSP Talagang for his honesty and devoted services whereas, IGP also ordered to suspend DSP Talagang, Sarwar Shahid founded to be guilty for negligence in a rape case of minor girl. He also ordered to demote SHO Talagang, Mushtaq Ahmad to Sub-Inspector and ordered for inclusion his name in accused.
