LAHORE:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, has approved more than Rs2.4 million for the medical treatment of police personnel and their family members. Sharing the details, Punjab Police spokesperson said that Rs500,000 has been released for the cancer treatment of retired DSP Noor Muhammad, while Barber M Asghar was provided Rs250,000 for his wife’s minor surgery. Similarly, Rs200,000 has been released for the treatment of a heart ailment of the widow of late Inspector Abdul Rasheed. Punjab Police spokesperson said that Sub-Inspectors Syed Hassan Raza and Javeed Iqbal, and ASI Naeem Ullah have been provided Rs100,000 each for medical treatment.
Similarly, Constables Bilal Hassan, Farooq Ali and M Ahmad, and Lady Constable Phool Shahzadi have also been provided Rs100,000 each towards their medical treatment. In addition, ASIs Ghulam Abbas and Ilyas Ali, and Assistant Irfan Ahmad were provided a combined amount of Rs310,000 for medical treatment, while Constables M Amir, Abdul Ghafoor and M Hussain were provided a combined amount of Rs285,000.
