Another Son of Punjab Police Embraces Martyrdom in Line of Duty; Sargodha Police Constable Fazal Ahmad Martyred in the line of Duty

Constable Fazal Ahmad of Punjab Police Sargodha embraced martyrdom while performing his duty. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, police conducted a raid in the jurisdiction of Kot Momin Police Station to arrest a wanted accused. As soon as the accused saw the police party, he opened fire. A bullet fired by the accused hit Constable Fazal Ahmad in the chest. Constable Fazal Ahmad was shifted to DHQ Hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice of martyred Constable Fazal Ahmad and said that Punjab Police stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. He said that the bereaved family of the martyr would not be left alone and their welfare and well-being would be fully taken care of.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of martyred Constable Fazal Ahmad was offered at Police Lines Sargodha. DPO Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, senior officers of law enforcement agencies, members of the Punjab Assembly, police officers and personnel, other senior officials and members of civil society attended the funeral prayer in large numbers. A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the mortal remains of martyred Constable Fazal Ahmad, while special prayers were also offered for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks. After the funeral prayer, the mortal remains of the martyr were taken to his native village, Naseer Pur Kalan, for burial.
DPO Sargodha Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem paid tribute to the departmental services of martyred Constable Fazal Ahmad and met the bereaved family. Appreciating the martyr’s courage and high morale, he said that the martyr’s heirs are like our own family and they would never be left alone. DPO Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem said that every police personnel possesses unwavering courage & determination, and every martyr further strengthens our resolve and determination to accomplish our mission. Punjab Police also pays tribute to the sacrifices of its brave martyrs and will continue to provide all possible care & support to the families of the martyrs.
