IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Pays Tribute to the Great Sacrifice of Martyred Constable Abrar Hussain; Directs Complete Care and Welfare of the Bereaved Family. Funeral Prayer of Martyred Constable Abrar Hussain Offered at Police Lines Faisalabad; Police Contingent Presents Guard of Honour; Senior Officers, Family Members and Civil Society Representatives Attend in Large Numbers
Another brave son of Punjab Police attained the great rank of martyrdom while performing his duties. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, a team of Faisalabad Police from Thikriwala Police Station, under the leadership of the Station House Officer (SHO), conducted a raid in the area of 73-JB Jhappal to arrest dangerous criminals wanted in an attempted murder case. During the raid, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire on the police team, as a result of which Constable Abrar Hussain sustained critical injuries. He was immediately shifted to Allied Hospital in critical condition; however, he succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom. Punjab Police spokesperson further stated that the police team continued the operation with great bravery and arrested the suspects involved in the firing, Bilal, Hanan, Hamad and Zubair, along with weapons. The funeral prayer of martyred Constable Abrar Hussain was offered at Police Lines Faisalabad. Commissioner Faisalabad Imran Hamid Sheikh, CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain, SSP Operations Imran Ahmad Malik, SSP Investigation Ahmad Nawaz Shah, SSP RIB Mian Akmal, CTO Faisalabad Nasir Javed, Town SPs, police officers and personnel, family members of the martyr and representatives of civil society attended the funeral in large numbers.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the mortal remains of martyred Constable Abrar Hussain. After the funeral prayer, his mortal remains were transported to his native village for burial with full state honours. CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain met the bereaved family of the martyr and expressed his condolences, assuring them of every possible assistance. He said that martyrs are our benefactors whose sacrifices can never be forgotten. The families of martyrs are like our own families, and we stand by the families of our martyrs on every occasion and at all times. The CPO Faisalabad said that the police would make every sacrifice necessary to prevent crime and protect the lives and property of citizens, and that every possible support would be provided to the family of martyred Constable Abrar Hussain. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem paid tribute to the great sacrifice of martyred Constable Abrar Hussain and said that the martyr sacrificed his life in the line of duty for the protection of the lives and property of citizens. Punjab Police is proud of the sacrifice of its brave son. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that the bereaved family of martyred Constable Abrar Hussain would never be left alone. He directed that every possible measure be taken to ensure the complete care and welfare of the martyr’s family.
