Punjab Police actively engaged in eliminating organized criminal gangs across the province.

7,886 members of 3,295 gangs arrested during the current year, stolen property worth more than Rs. 2.33 billion recovered.

Punjab Police continues vigorous operations against organized criminal gangs across Lahore and the province. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the current year, 7,886 members of 3,295 gangs were arrested. During the operations, stolen property worth more than Rs. 2.33 billion was recovered from the possession of the accused. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that 291 vehicles, 6,341 motorcycles, 5,217 mobile phones, 2,356 livestock, and 1,175 tolas of gold were also recovered from the possession of the accused.

IG Punjab Abdul Kareem has directed that operations against criminal elements be further intensified, saying that indiscriminate action against organized criminal gangs should continue across the province and the protection of citizens’ lives and properties should be ensured at all costs.
