Two Lahore Police officers, Sub-Inspector Adeel Aashiq and Head Constable Asad, were martyred in the line of duty in firing by criminal elements. Inspector General Police Punjab Abdul Kareem took notice of the incident and sought a report from DIG Operations Lahore. IG Punjab ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the firing and directed that all resources be utilized. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem paid tribute to both police personnel who attained the rank of martyrdom in the line of duty. IG Punjab said that the complete care and welfare of the families of the martyred police personnel is the top priority of Punjab Police.
