Rs. 1.835 million released for the medical treatment of police personnel and their family members
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, remains committed to the health welfare of Punjab Police personnel and their families. In continuation of these welfare initiatives, Rs. 1.835 million has been released for the medical treatment of police personnel and their family members. Sharing the details, Punjab Police spokesperson said that Rs. 500,000 has been released for the cancer treatment of Driver Constable Imran Sharif, while Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Amjad Rauf has been provided Rs. 200,000 for the treatment of a heart ailment. Similarly, Head Constable Abdul Ghaffar has been granted Rs. 120,000 for appendix treatment. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that retired Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf, ASI Muhammad Ashfaq and Naib Qasid Muhammad Owais have been provided Rs. 100,000 each for medical treatment. Similarly, ASI Tariq Mahmood, Head Constable Muhammad Ahmad, Constable Shahzad Munir, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Javed and Ghazi Constable Adeel Jameel have also been granted Rs. 100,000 each towards their medical treatment.
In addition, Constable Umar Farooq, Constable Dil Muhammad and retired Constable Asghar Ali have been provided a combined amount of Rs. 215,000 for their medical treatment. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem approved the release of the funds following scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. IG Punjab said that the welfare of police personnel and their families, who remain engaged in protecting the lives and property of citizens, is a top priority. He further said that under Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various institutions, Punjab Police is also providing the best medical facilities to its personnel and their families.
