More than Rs. 2 million released for the medical treatment of police personnel and their family members.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, remains committed to the health welfare of Punjab Police personnel and their families. In continuation of these welfare initiatives, more than Rs. 2 million has been released for the medical treatment of police personnel and their family members. Sharing the details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that Rs. 500,000 has been released for the cancer treatment of the widow of late Orderly Constable Niaz Ahmad. Head Constable Yasir Murtaza has been provided Rs. 360,000 for spinal treatment, while Constable Nabi Sher has been granted Rs. 289,000 for knee treatment. Similarly, Constable Waseem Arshad has been provided Rs. 250,000 for the medical treatment of his wife, while Head Constable Asad Mumtaz has been granted Rs. 250,000 towards his medical treatment.
Punjab Police spokesperson further said that Constable Muhammad Qadeer and Constable Zulfiqar Ahmad have been provided Rs. 100,000 each for medical treatment. In addition, Constable Muhammad Nadeem and Constable Faryad Ali have been granted a combined amount of Rs. 165,000 for their medical treatment. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem approved the release of the funds following scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. IG Punjab said that the welfare of police personnel and their families, who remain engaged in protecting the lives and properties of citizens, is a top priority. He further said that under Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various institutions, Punjab Police is also providing the best possible medical facilities to its personnel and their families.
