Punjab Police continues the evacuation of foreign nationals residing illegally across Punjab. As part of the ongoing process, Punjab Police has so far deported 37,000 Afghan nationals and other illegally residing foreign nationals from across the province, including Lahore, while 214 illegally residing individuals are currently present at various holding points. Sharing the details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that those deported include 14,954 men, 7,254 women and 14,783 children. Among those deported were 11,145 holders of Proof of Residence, 11,137 Afghan Citizen Card holders, and 14,709 illegally residing foreign nationals. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, said that security remains on high alert across the province and the repatriation of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He further said that Punjab Police is implementing the policy for the repatriation of illegally residing foreign nationals in accordance with international laws.
