Punjab Police continues the repatriation of illegally residing foreign nationals across the province.

The repatriation process of foreign nationals residing illegally in Punjab is continuing. As part of this ongoing process, Punjab Police has so far deported 36,545 foreign nationals, including Afghan nationals, residing illegally from across the province, including Lahore, while 504 illegally residing individuals are currently present at various holding points. Providing details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that those deported include 14,614 men, 7,234 women, and 14,697 children. Among those deported, 11,124 possessed Proof of Residence (PoR) documents, 11,137 were Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders, while 14,284 were illegally residing foreign nationals. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem said that security remains on high alert across the province and the repatriation of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He further said that Punjab Police is implementing the policy of repatriating illegally residing foreign nationals in accordance with international laws.
