IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Reinforces Health Welfare of Police Personnel and Their Families
Additional funds of Rs. 3.04 million released for the medical treatment of police employees and their family members.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem remains committed to the health welfare of the Punjab Police force and their families. In continuation of this commitment, additional funds amounting to Rs. 3.04 million have been released for the medical treatment of police employees and their family members. Punjab Police spokesperson, while sharing the details, said that Constable Muhammad Mohsin has been provided Rs. 430,000 for medical treatment, while Constable Talha Zubair has been granted Rs. 300,000 for surgery. Constable Tasawar Hussain has been provided Rs. 250,000 for the medical treatment of his wife, while Constable Umar Zaman has been granted Rs. 200,000 for heart surgery. Similarly, retired Plumber Muhammad Bilal has been provided Rs. 200,000 for cancer treatment, while retired Traffic Warden Khawahish Ali Shah has also been granted Rs. 200,000 for heart surgery.
Punjab Police spokesperson further said that Inspector Rashid Mehmood, Constable Muhammad Iqbal, Lady Constable Sundas, Driver Constable Tanveer Hussain, and retired Driver Constable Muhammad Feroz have each been provided Rs. 100,000 for medical treatment. In addition, Constable Nazakat Ali, Traffic Assistant Muhammad Bashir, and Driver Constable Tariq Mehmood have collectively been granted Rs. 340,000 for medical treatment. Sub-Inspector Abid Hussain, Head Constable Muhammad Sohail, and EDC Operator Rab Nawaz have collectively been provided Rs. 300,000 for medical treatment, while Constable Junaid Azeem, Ghareeb Alam, and Asjad Ali have collectively been granted Rs. 225,000 in medical assistance. Furthermore, ASI Maqsood Ali and Driver Constable Abdul Hafeez have collectively been provided Rs. 95,000 for medical treatment.
IG Punjab Abdul Kareem approved the release of the funds following scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. IG Punjab said that the welfare of police employees and their families, who remain engaged in protecting the lives and properties of citizens, is the foremost priority. He further said that Punjab Police is also providing the best possible medical treatment facilities to its employees and their family members through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various institutions.
