Additional Funds of Over Rs 2 Million Released for Medical Treatment of Police Employees and Their Families
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, is firmly committed to the health welfare of the Punjab Police force and their families. In continuation of this commitment, additional funds of over Rs 2 million have been released for the medical treatment of police employees and their family members. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details and said that Sub-Inspector Tahir Abbas has been granted Rs 0.3 million for medical treatment, while Sub-Inspector Kazim Hussain has been provided Rs 0.25 million for medical expenses. Constable Muhammad Rashid Khan has been released Rs 0.24 million for medical treatment. Similarly, ASI Umar Farooq, ASI Nadeem Abbas, and Junior Patrolling Officer Zulfiqar Ali have been provided Rs 0.1 million each for their medical treatment.
Spokesperson further said that Lady ASI Safia, Lady Head Constable Shahida Balqees, and Lady Constable Amina Shahzadi have also been granted Rs 0.1 million each for medical treatment. Assistant Shahzad Hassan, Head Constable Muhammad Ammar, and Driver Constable Javed Iqbal have likewise been provided Rs 0.1 million each for medical expenses. In addition, Inspector Muhammad Nawaz, ASI Muhammad Yaseen, Constable Muhammad Abdullah, and Lady Constable Irshad Begum have collectively been granted Rs 0.319 million for medical treatment. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem approved the release of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. He said that the welfare of police employees and their families, who remain engaged in protecting the lives and property of citizens, is among the top priorities of Punjab Police. He further said that under MOUs with various institutions, Punjab Police is also providing the best possible medical facilities to its employees and their families۔
