Effective patrolling carried out around mosques, imambargahs, shrines, commercial centres and major roads. Police Officers Listen to Citizens' Issues After Friday Prayers, Ensure Prompt Resolution
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem issued directives to enhance security across Lahore and the rest of the province on the occasion of Friday prayers. Acting on the directions of IG Punjab, security at mosques, imambargahs, shrines, markets and other sensitive locations was further strengthened, while effective patrolling and surveillance were ensured around major roads, places of worship and commercial centres. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem directed all RPOs, CPOs, DPOs and field officers to personally supervise the security arrangements and utilize all available resources to ensure the protection of the lives and properties of citizens. He said that maintaining law and order and safeguarding the lives, properties and assets of citizens remain the foremost priority of Punjab Police, and no effort will be spared to achieve this objective. On the special directions of IG Punjab, police officers visited various mosques after Friday prayers, met with citizens, listened to their concerns and took the necessary measures for their resolution. IG Punjab directed senior officers to listen to citizens' issues at their doorsteps and ensure their timely resolution.
