Disciplinary Accountability Process Continues at Punjab Police

20 DSPs Penalized in Orderly Rooms Chaired by IG Punjab Abdul Kareem

The process of disciplinary accountability within Punjab Police continues at a rapid pace. In various Orderly Rooms chaired by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, disciplinary punishments have been awarded to 20 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs). Punjab Police spokesperson said that during an Orderly Room chaired by IG Punjab Abdul Kareem on July 9, major penalties were awarded to three DSPs. One DSP was dismissed from service, while another was awarded the penalty of reduction in rank to the post of Senior Traffic Warden. The third officer was also awarded another major penalty. Spokesperson further said that in various Orderly Rooms held earlier, disciplinary punishments were awarded to 17 DSPs. These included the dismissal from service of two DSPs, reduction in rank of one DSP, reduction in pay of two DSPs, while 12 DSPs were awarded other disciplinary penalties.
