Punjab Police ensuring the repatriation of illegal residing foreign nationals across the province.

The repatriation process of foreign nationals residing illegally in Punjab is continuing. As part of this ongoing process, Punjab Police has so far deported 35,719 foreign nationals, including Afghan nationals, residing illegally from across the province, including Lahore, while 72 illegally residing individuals are currently present at various holding points. Providing details, Punjab Police spokesperson said that those deported include more than 14,000 men, 7,138 women, and 14,529 children. Among those deported, 11,047 possessed Proof of Residence documents, 11,135 were Afghan Citizen Card holders, while 13,537 were illegally residing foreign nationals. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem said that security remains on high alert across the province and the repatriation of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He further said that Punjab Police is implementing the policy of repatriating illegally residing foreign nationals in accordance with international laws.
