Over 35,700 foreigners deported

LAHORE:The repatriation process of foreign nationals residing illegally in Punjab is continuing, with police intensifying operations across the province.According to official details, Punjab police have so far deported 35,719 foreign nationals, including Afghan nationals, from different districts of the province, including Lahore. Currently, 72 illegally residing individuals are present at various holding points awaiting further processing. A police spokesperson said that among those deported are more than 14,000 men, 7,138 women, and 14,529 children. The deportees also include 11,047 individuals holding proof of residence documents, 11,135 Afghan citizen card holders, and 13,537 undocumented foreign nationals. IGP Punjab Abdul Kareem said that security across the province remains on high alert and the repatriation of all illegally residing foreigners is being ensured.
