Punjab Police Taking Proactive Measures to Ensure a Peaceful Muharram-ul-Haram

 

 

 

Punjab Police is actively engaged in ensuring a peaceful Muharram-ul-Haram and continues to conduct extensive search operations against criminal and suspicious elements across the province.

Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the last 24 hours, 426 search operations were conducted across the province, during which 13,524 suspicious persons were questioned. During the search operations, 32 suspicious persons were arrested while 24 cases were registered. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that indiscriminate operations against anti-state, miscreant and criminal elements will continue during Muharram-ul-Haram to maintain law and order. He directed all field officers to make search operations more effective and keep a close watch on suspicious activities so that the peaceful conduct of mourning processions and majalis can be ensured.
