IG Punjab Abdul Kareem's directions: Punjab police remained on high alert across the province during friday prayers

Effective patrolling carried out around mosques, imambargahs, business centers, and major roads.

Police officers listened to citizens' problems after Friday prayers and ensured measures for their resolution.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, issued directives to maintain a high security alert across the province, including Lahore, on the occasion of Friday prayers. In accordance with the IG Punjab's instructions, security arrangements at mosques, imambargahs, shrines, markets, and other sensitive locations were further strengthened. Effective patrolling and surveillance were ensured around major highways, places of worship, and business centers. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem directed all RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, and field officers to personally supervise security arrangements and utilize all resources for the protection of citizens' lives and properties. He emphasized that maintaining law and order and safeguarding the lives, property, and assets of citizens remain the top priorities of Punjab Police, and no effort will be spared in achieving this objective. On the special directions of IG Punjab, police officers visited various mosques after Friday prayers, met with citizens, listened to their concerns, and took necessary measures on the spot for their resolution. The officers also sought public suggestions regarding the prompt redressal of issues and the effective delivery of police services. IG Punjab further instructed all supervisory officers to maintain direct contact with citizens, address their concerns on a priority basis, and perform their responsibilities more effectively to promote community policing.
