Central Police Office: Ceremony Held for Distribution of Modern Laptops Among Children of Police Martyrs
IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Distributes Modern Laptops to 21 Children of Police Martyrs
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, distributed modern laptops among 21 children of police martyrs during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office. The recipients included male and female students pursuing studies in Medical, LL.B, IT and other modern technology-related programmes. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said on the occasion that, through Punjab Police welfare funds, a total of 329 children of police martyrs have so far been provided with laptops, while 127 children have received laptops during the current year. He said that modern laptops would play an important role in the academic and professional careers of students, as well as in their skills development.
IG Punjab further said that additional resources are being utilized for the welfare and well-being of the families of police personnel who embraced martyrdom in the service of the country and nation. Scholarships are also being provided to the children of police martyrs for pursuing education in national and international educational institutions. Punjab Police spokesperson said that the recipients included 2 students from Lahore, 3 from Sheikhupura, 3 from Jhang, 2 from Gujranwala, 2 from Sialkot and 2 students from Telecommunication Punjab. Similarly, one student each belonging to Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Okara, Muzaffargarh, CTD, PHP and Police Training School Sargodha was also provided with a laptop.
