On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, Punjab Police is continuing to take vigorous action against violators of the Anti-Kite Flying Act across the province. While giving details, the Punjab Police Spokesperson said that this year, 9076 accused have been arrested and 8755 cases have been registered for violating the Anti-Kite Flying Act across the province, including Lahore. During this time, 457,765 kites and 13,944 spinning wheels have also been recovered. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that 4016 accused were arrested in the provincial capital Lahore while 3869 cases were registered. 112,334 kites and 4243 string spinning wheels were recovered in Lahore. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem has issued clear instructions that kite flying is not tolerated anywhere in the province and strict action should be taken against the elements involved in this dangerous activity without discrimination. He added that the elements involved in the online business of metal strings and kites should also be brought to justice. IG Punjab appealed to parents to keep their children away from this bloody game while citizens should immediately report kite flying at any place to 15 and prove that they are responsible citizens.
