IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Ensures Quality Medical Treatment for Special Children of Police Employees

Over Rs. 88.9 Million Disbursed for Medical Care of Special Children of Police Employees Across province.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Abdul Kareem, is committed to ensuring the best medical treatment for the special children of police employees. In continuation of these efforts, more than Rs. 88.9 million rupees have been released this year for the treatment of special children of police employees posted in Lahore and various other districts. Providing details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that a total of more than Rs. 64.2 million rupees has been provided to 721 children suffering from Cerebral Palsy at the rate of Rs. 20,000 per month. More than Rs. 15.3 million rupees have been released for 171 children affected by Thalassemia at the rate of Rs. 30,000 per month for medical expenses. More than Rs. 6.2 million rupees has been provided for the treatment of 38 children suffering from various serious diseases. Rs. 1.06 million has been released for 6 children suffering from cancer and bone marrow transplant-related illnesses. Rs. 1.19 million has been provided for 5 children undergoing treatment for heart and kidney diseases, while more than Rs. 872,000 has been given for the treatment of 13 children suffering from various hearing disorders. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that the best possible measures are being taken for the treatment of children of police employees suffering from various serious diseases. He said that under the Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed with various renowned hospitals, treatment facilities are also being provided to the children of police employees at discounted rates. IG Punjab further said that comprehensive welfare measures are continuing to make the lives of special children of police employees easier and more dignified.
