Directions issued to ensure foolproof security for ceremonies, rallies, and other programs related to Marka-e-Haq.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office to review in detail the security arrangements for ceremonies, rallies, and other events being organized across the province, including Lahore, in connection with Marka-e-Haq. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Operations Punjab Muhammad Ali Nekokara, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Abid Khan, AIG Operations Punjab Zahid Nawaz Marwat, and AIG Admin and Security Qazi Farooq Sultan, while the CCPO Lahore, Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs, DPOs, and other senior officers participated in the meeting through video link. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem congratulated the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the entire nation on the completion of one year of Marka-e-Haq and paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Air Force for its decisive victory against the enemy.
IG Punjab said that comprehensive security is being provided for ceremonies, rallies, and other programs related to Marka-e-Haq, and Punjab Police is ensuring all possible measures for the protection of life and properties of the public. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem directed that the police force should remain on high alert and keep strict vigilance on anti-state elements, suspicious individuals, and activities. He said that the CCPO Lahore, RPOs, and DPOs should remain in complete coordination with the district administration and other security agencies, while complete monitoring of Marka-e-Haq events should be carried out with the help of Safe Cities Authority cameras. IG Punjab further directed that Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit, and Elite Force teams should ensure effective patrolling, while additional wardens have also been deployed to maintain the flow of traffic. He directed the RPOs and DPOs to organize special ceremonies in connection with Marka-e-Haq at their offices and police lines as well.
